On 9th March, our winery will host the second Jóvenes por el Vino (Young People and Wine) Conference, which seeks to spread wine culture among young people. The first edition was held at Bodega Emina Ribera last year, which also belongs to Bodegas Familiares Matarromera.

Jóvenes por el Vino is an Association set up at the end of 2017 in Valladolid by several young wine lovers to promote and protect the winegrowing and winemaking culture. So far, they have organised various gatherings and meetings with an approach that appeals to young people.

DISTRIBUTORS AND IMPORTERS MEETING

We have held a meeting in our winery with our distributors and importers to present them with our latest news. At the meeting, attendees were also able to learn about our new image, taste the new vintages, and get to know the area (sightseeing tour through Valladolid, formal dinner at the AC Hotel Palacio de Santa Ana, etc.).

This year, we are celebrating the twentieth anniversary, and we want to do so with our Sales Team, a team that constantly works hard to bring our wines to every consumer who wants and knows how to appreciate a great red or rosé wine, the traditional wine of this wonderful area of Cigales.

REVAMPING OUR IMAGE

We have revamped the image on our labels, adapting it to the elegant style of our wines. In commemoration and tribute to the celebration of our XX Anniversary during 2019, we have decided to bet on a genuine style of elaboration, thus achieving more modern and fruity blends, greatly influenced by the vineyards of a more slaty and mineral soil, with more subtle wood notes and a greater presence of French barrel aromas. In short, wines adapted to the tastes of the consumer of this day and age.

The new image seeks to highlight the chateau-style winery and, to this end, an illustration has been made of the building surrounded by vineyards, resembling an old engraving. The typography has also been modified, highlighting the full name of VALDELOSFRAILES, and the paper now resembles a linen cloth. This is just our first step in a year full of celebrations.
